To unlock the Avenger, clear the Story Mode, then watch the ending movie and the credits. If you don't hold it the right way, then you will only be able to see above or under the water. BUT you're mouse has to be right in the middle. So, if you hold your mouse at the right angle, you can see above and under the water as well.
When swimming in the water you might need to see above the water as well. If you do this while moving sideways, you instead do a hop in that direction. To do this activate sneak mode and hold the sprint button, then double tap the ready/sheath button while moving forward to execute to forward roll. Using the armor stand in your house in Solitude, place any piece of apparel on the mannequin then immediately take it back before exiting the menu.
